Happy December 26, or holiday hangover day. It’s going to be tough getting back to reality after all this time off! I’m popping in again with another quick post. This one features the card I made for Altenew’s December Inspiration challenge. Sit back with a mug of coffee, or hot chocolate and relax for a few minutes.
First of, let’s take a look at the inspiration for the challenge. This month is a year in review, and we have our pick of inspiration.
Here are the images from the last year.
I decided to use the photo from August as my inspiration. Along with the colors, I decided to use the new stamp set that Altenew sent out as a thank you gift, Billowing Blossoms.
I started out by stamping a sentiment from Altenew’s Crafty Life in the center of a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with Versafine ink, and embossing it with Wow’s Holographic Sparkle embossing powder.
I stamped the largest flower from the new set in Tide Blue ink, and the smaller flower in Orange Cream. The leaves were both stamped in Parrot. The center of the blue flower is Starlight, and the orange is Firebick.
Keeping the card very simple, I just added clear Wink of Stella. The card base is Gina K Design’s Blue Raspberry, with a matching Simon Says Stamp’s Island Blue envelope.
As you can see, I’m still on the clean and simple kick. Taking a break from all the holiday crazy.
Thanks for stopping by! Check back on Friday, I’ll have the card I made for the December A Blog Named Hero card.
