Card Making is My Super Power!

Welcome back. I hope you are hanging in there. Today I have a bit of a different post. Last week Jennifer McGuire shared a post on Instagram that I thought was so awesome. It’s linked here, but in essence, it’s a call to make cards for those in need, and to show thanks. It could be for those on the front lines of this Pandemic (medical staff, grocery store employees, restaurant employees… you get the picture). She even has a hashtag to go along, #cardmakingsuperpower.

I made a couple of cards this weekend, that I would like share. I’m not going into the details of how it was made, but I will list supplies.

This shaker card was actually made with the scraps from an Infinity card I made a few weeks ago. This card is 5 3/4″ square.

Supplies used: Concord & 9th Blooms Turnabout and Forever Flower dies. Altenew ink Lapis Lazuli set and Green Valley set. The card base is left over from my scrapbooking days (used the same for the sentiment). C&9th Bitty Thanks die, the sentiment strip from Lots to Say, along with the inside sentiment

This card’s images are C&9th Rooting for you, colored with Copic markers. Background C&9th Shiplap Sentiments. Card base Gina K Design’s Tranquil Teal

Supplies: C&9th Type Talk, MFT Distress Patterns for the background, card base is Gina K Wild Lilac.

Supplies: Clearly Besotted Garden Plushies, colored with Copic markers. Card base Gina K Applemint. Glossy Accents on the bee’s wings.

This one is one of my favorites!

Supplies: C&9th Feathered, XOXO Turnabout; Altenew ink Pale Mauve, Gray Denim, Lime, Cloudy Sky, Amethyst and Buttercream; card base is Gina K Slate; used glitter Gelly Roll pen on the flowers.

I had a lot of fun making these cards. It gave me a chance to play with some of the goodies I picked up during the Concord & 9th Inventory Blowout sale. I still have a bunch of panels I stamped using the Blooms Turnabout. I’m planning to make more thank you and thinking of you cards this weekend.

What about you? Will you use your superpower to share some kindness?

Thanks for stopping by,

Nicole
