Happy Wednesday! I hope this week is being kind to you. I’m exhausted, and thankful to be one day closer to the weekend! Today I’m sharing a quick post, featuring the card I made for Pinkfresh Studios March Challenge.
It’s kind of funny, I just purchased the The Foliage Frame Inset die, but hadn’t had the chance to play with it. I was going to play with it towards the end of February, but then thought it might be a good idea to wait for the new challenge. Guess what the theme is… Frames!
Here is my card:
I created the background by adding Atlantis Burst Nuvo Shimmer powder to a panel of Distress watercolor cardstock, then sprayed it with water. I set the panel aside to dry, and worked on the frames.
Using the Foliage Frame Inset die, I die cut it once from some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I cut it a second time from Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum. To make the vellum frame sturdier, I added it to another white die cut. When the glue was dry, I flipped the white frame, and adhered them together with liquid glue.
Once the watercolor panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Magical Unicorn with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, then heat embossed it with Gina K Design Clear powder. Next, I added the frames to the watercolor panel with liquid adhesive. I finished off the card by adding the panel to a Neenah card base with fun foam.
Check out all of that shimmer! I love the combination of the white frames with the watercolor.
Thanks for stopping by,
