Hello you, and welcome to my blog! I’m in a great mood, even thought it’s Monday. I made an evening trip to Ikea on Friday, stayed up late building tables, and now have the craft studio of my dreams! I had all weekend long to enjoy the changes, and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. I will write a blog post soon, along with a room tour video. I think I’ve run out of excuses now, lol.
For today, I’m sharing the card I made for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge. This week the challenge is Add a Sentiment, and the company focus is Hero Arts. Piece of cake!!!
I’ve had the background panel I used for this card for a while now, trying to figure out what to do with it. I thought I would make a Christmas card using it, but didn’t get around too it.
Using Hero Art’s Ornate Floral stencil, I added Deco Foil Transfer Gel to a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. When it dried, I added Deco Foil Iridescent foil to the panel and heated it in my laminator. I purposely added the transfer gel to get the distressed look. Sorry, it’s my go too look for glitter paste and transfer gel :).
I love these pictures, as when you look at the card straight on it looks silver. I didn’t get the rainbow until I went to take pictures.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts March 2018 My Monthly Hero kit. I die cut it 4 times from Hero Arts Pitch Black cardstock, which I had added double sided adhesive before cutting. I layered the four die cuts, then added them to the card. I also die cut a couple of small hearts I had from a Concord & 9th kit.
I added a black matte to the panel, with more Pitch Black cardstock. The card base is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb cardstock.
That’s it. I’m glad I finally got to use this panel. It was so pretty, it needed to be used.
Thanks for stopping by!
