Hello! I have a confession to make. Today’s card was really just made so I could have something to post about. I’m not excited about it. I wasn’t feeling well last weekend, and I just needed one more card. I’m not even sure if I’m going to link it to the MFT Challenge, or make something else.
The Birthday Project Challenge Theme for January is Cheers to the New Year. I actually had a previously stamped sentiment from Taylored Expressions that said, “Pop! Fizz! Clink! Cheers!” that triggered this design. I wanted to go for something resembling champagne. I had this panel, previously made from Distress Oxide Sprays, I thought it was a good start…

As you can see, I did not use the sentiment I mentioned. I found this one, from MFT’s Fabulous at Any Age, and used it instead. I stamped it on the Distress Oxide Spray panel (made with Broken China, Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet sprays on Watercolor cardstock).

Next, I used teh Card Size Confetti stencils to add Gina K Design’s White Glitz Glitter gel to the panel. I used both stencils, letting the panel dry in between. There is some bonus cat hair, which has since been removed (Savy was trying to…help me take pictures, I had to…encourage her to stop with treats).
I added the panel to a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base, and left it as is. In my head the glitter gel was going to be more opaque… Oh well. It’s not hideous, it’s just missing something… Hopefully this weekend’s crafting is better.
Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
Good for you for getting at it even when you don’t feel like it, Nicole! It sounds like you put quite a bit of work into it, too… even if it was over a couple different crafting a! Lol
TFS – you inspired me in a few ways today!
