Hey there! I think I warned you about the watercolor explosion my blog is going to experience. I’ll try to sprinkle in some other techniques in between, but I did make 19 panels on New Years lol. I was able to use one of the panels for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge.
This week the theme is Something New, with the product focus being Whimsy Stamp Products. I don’t have anything from Whimsy, although the examples on the blog post are adorable. I do have some new Concord & 9th products (is anyone surprised).
This card is really simple. I stamped the heart image from Concord & 9th’s Sew Happy Hearts with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Wow Opaque White Detail powder. I added some Violet Brocade Nuvo Shimmer Powder to the embossed panel, then spritzed it with water, and set it aside to dry.
I trimmed down a panel of Simon Says Stamps Orchid Glitter cardstock to mat the watercolor panel. When the watercolor panel was dry, I adhered it to the glitter cardstock with liquid adhesive. Then, I added the panel to a Gina K Design Wild Lilac card base with fun foam.
I decided to leave the panel the way it was, without further embellishments. With all the shimmer, and the color specks, I thought that was enough detail and interest. Look at all that shimmer, sigh.
Thanks for stopping by!
