Welcome back! Today is the first day of my Christmas vacation (wahoo)! I’m excited to have a chunk of time off and the health and energy to hang out in my studio. I have so many new things I haven’t had the chance to play with. Today’s card actually has a new to me item. But, I’m getting ahead of my self. Today’s post is for Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge.
The theme for this week is Interactive Christmas, and the product focus is Lawn Fawn.
Since I struggle with interactive cards, I decided on a shaker cards. I happened to have this new to me MFT Snowflake Window, and decided it would make an awesome shaker window! I die cut the Snowflake Window from a watercolor panel I made with Brusho Crystals on Distress Watercolor cardstock. I made a frame for the window using a Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp on some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
Using some Scor Tape, I added a scrape piece of acetate to the frame. Then I added foam tape and a mixture of sequins. I added some Neenah cardstock over the sequins with.
Next, I added the Snowflake Window with liquid adhesive and set it aside too dry. I stamped the fairies from Lawn Fawn’s Frosty Friends on some more Neenah with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. Then, I die cut them with the matching dies and added them to the frame with liquid adhesive. I finished off the card with a Gina K Design Wild Lilac card base.
I’m kinda bummed I sent out my Christmas cards already. This one is so cute! Oh well, there is always next year!
Thanks for stopping by,
