Hey there! Whew, I wasn’t sure if I was going to get these desk calendars done in time. Last year I made them during Thanksgiving break. Since I’m having surgery this year, I don’t know how long it will be before I’m back in the studio. Thankfully, I finished this past Saturday!
Here is a glimpse at the whole set, then I’ll share closer pictures with some details. I decided to use Concord & 9th’s Pre-Printed 2020 calendar, to save time and aggravation. I also used C&9th’s Annuals Bundle for the months, and the flowers on March. Sorry about the shadow, overhead lighting…
For January, I stamped the girls from C&9th Winter Wear and Fashion Wear with Altenew Jet Black ink. The beanie was stamped on some Neenah, colored with Copics, die cut and added with liquid adhesive. I stamped C&9th Snowflake Turnabout 1 time , then repositioned to get a couple more snowflakes on the panel with Altenew Aqualicious ink.
February is the Hugs & Kisses Turnabout with pink Altenew inks and Delicata Shimmery Silver ink. The die cut heart is MFT Straight From The Heart cut from MFT Tickled Pink and Gina K Design Silver cardstock.
March is C&9th Annuals as mentioned, colored with Copics, die cut and added with liquid adhesive. I made three different designs for March.
April is MFT Mini Staggered Rain Drops stencil with Gina K Design Turquoise Sea Glitz glitter gel. The clouds are MFT Cloud Shaker, cut from gray cardstock and inked with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink, layered over MFT Silver Sparkle cardstock.
May is C&9ths Fashion Wear, the die cut images colored with Copics, and colored pencil on the hat.
June is MFT Drink Up the Sunshine, colored with Copic. The “pool,” is Broken China Distress Oxide ink, blended with the Taylored Expressions Masking stencil.
August is C&9th Floral Print Silhouette stamped with Altenew Eastern Sky, Baby Pink and Firefly ink.
September has two different designs (I couldn’t pick a favorite). I used C&9th Daily Wear, with the die cuts colored with Copics.
Of course October features Mama Elephant Plushoween, colored with Copic markers. The background is Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. The spider webs are from Neat & Tangled, die cut from black glitter cardstock.
November is Picket Fence Studio Leaf Picture Frame, stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. I wanted to watercolor the images, but I was worried about all the water. The month was stamped with MFT Poppy ink.
December is C&9th Warm Wishes, stamped with Altenew blue inks and Delicata silver. I die cut one of the larger snowflakes from Gina K Blue Raspberry.
Whew! I can’t believe I was able to finish them! I made seven total. But, it did give me a chance to use some new products.
Thanks for stopping by!
