Welcome back, I’m so happy to have you here. I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was very productive, home wise. I made a decent dent in my long neglected “yard.” Having lived in apartments most of my life, sometimes I forget that the patio and plants are mine lol. I’m also trying to get some other chores done before the holidays.
I did get a little bit of time to hang out in my studio. I’m focusing on desk calendars for friends, but I tackled some challenges are well. Today I’m sharing the card I made for Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge. This week the theme is Thinking of You, and the product feature is Simons.
I decided to use one of my favorite background stamps. There are tons of thinking of you sentiments, so the background would be the big choice.

I stamped the Rebecca Lace background stamp with Versamark ink on a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White panel, then added Hero Arts Gold powder. I wanted to leave the panel alone, just the gold embossing, but I felt like it might be too plain. So, I grabbed some Dried Marigold and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink and blended it from the corner up.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Seeing Stars, I stamped part of the sentiment on a fishtail banner, and the rest on a circle of vellum, both with Versamark and more gold embossing powder. I added the vellum to inked panel with foam tape. I added some Lucy’s Cards gems to accent the sentiment, and a MFT Poppy cardbase.
I kinda wish I had not inked the panel, but I’m ok with it. Maybe next time I’ll try leaving it plain.
Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
