Hey there, welcome to my little slice of the internet. So happy to have you here, on another fine Monday morning. Ok, it may not be fine, but at least we have a cute card to look at.
Today’s card is for MFT Sketch challenge 451. Let me share the sketch first.

I wasn’t sure how to make this sketch work at first. I don’t have any dies that shape. Then, I thought about using a technique I have been meaning to use for a while now. This new technique is going direct to paper with a mini ink cube, dragging it across your cardstock. It turned out pretty cool.
To start this card out, I trimmed down a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock using MFT’s Mod Rectangle. Next I dragged MFT’s Wild Wisteria ink to make the top two blocks, as well as the last one. The darker purple is MFT’s Boysenberry ink. I also swiped Delicata Shimmery Silver over the Wild Wisteria. I like the streakier look of the Boysenberry swipe.
I stamped some images from MFT’s Pretty Poises on vellum with Versamark ink and embossed it with Hero Arts Silver powder. I die cut the images, and layered them on the Boysenberry square. Then, I stamped the circle images from the same set with Boysenberry and Delicata ink.
I die cut a strip of Boysenberry cardstock using the sentiment dies from MFT’s Vertical Hearts. I stamped the sentiment from MFT’s Aim For the Clouds with Versamark ink and embossed it with Wow Opaque White Detail embossing powder. I added it to the card panel with the vellum flowers tucked behind it, using foam tape.
The card base is more Boysenberry cardstock, and I added Silver Gems to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
