Hey there, welcome back. I’m so happy to have you here, to kick off the weekend right. Today I have a soft and pretty card to share with you. This card was inspired by the Altenew August Inspiration Challenge.
Isn’t that a gorgeous picture that May picked? I love those colors, especially the hint of purple.
I started out by stamping the sunflower from Altenew’s Sunflower Daisy set with the Rose Petal ink set. The leaves were stamped with various green Altenew inks (I’m sorry, I stamped them a few weeks ago and didn’t save the ink colors). The center of the flower is Sand Dune, Rocky Shore and Mocha. I added some Delicata Golden Glitz with the last layer, over the Mocha. It’s not a ton of shimmer, but adds a little something special. I die cut the flower and set the pieces aside.
Using the stencil that comes with the stamp set and blender brushes, I blended some Silver Lake ink to create the shadow. I thought the card was a bit bare, so I blended some more leaves over the background, just a touch lighter.
Once I was done ink blending, I stamped the sentiment from Altenew’s Sentiment Strips with Jet Black ink. I added my background to a card base made from Gina K Soft Stone cardstock.
This soft card was made for a friends wife, who is facing a tough fight right now. But, I know she’s strong. I hope this card makes her smile.
Thanks for stopping by!
