Heck yes, you’re here!!! Thanks for popping in and hanging out for a little bit. Today I have a bright, simplish card to share with you. This one features bright colors, and a stamp set I’ve never used before.
MFT’s July Birthday Project challenge is Birthday Bouquet. I don’t have many flower sets from MFT, and the sets I do have are older. I ended up picking a stamp set I’ve never used before, even though I’ve had it for 2 years. I’ve used the matching dies, but never the stamps.
Scribbled Roses was one of the first sets I purchased from MFT, nearly 2 years ago. I loved the idea of using the matching dies, but always struggled with it. This time I’m using the stamps. I like the sketchy look if the lines.
I started out by trimming down a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with MFT’s Mod Rectangles. I stamped the base layer of the smallest flower with Altenew Pink Diamond, then created a mask. The next layer was stamped with Altenew Pinkalicious (all inks used are Altenew). I masked off the flower, then stamped the middle flower with Sunkissed and Orange Cream. I created another mask, and moved on to the third flower. I used Blush and Rouge for the third flower. With all the flowers masked, I started on the leaves, using Limeade and Lime inks.
Once I had every thing stamped, I removed the mask and let the panel dry. Then, I stamped the sentiment from MFT Anything But Basic Birthday Wishes with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I added Gina K Clear Detail embossing powder and heat embossed it.
I’m really digging these brighter color pallets. They aren’t my normal go to, but ever since I made a card for a challenge that featured bright colors, I find myself using them more and more. Do you find yourself sticking to a specific color pallet?
Thanks for stopping by!
