Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to my slice of the internet. Today I am sharing the card I made for MFT’s Sketch Challenge 448. This sketch was pretty interesting, and I thinkI took an interesting approach to it. At least, I hope I did something a bit different. Let me know below!
Here is the sketch:

And….my card:

I’ve had the urge to play with the MFT Christmas Background, with either watercolor or ink blending. I ended up doing both (I used the ink blending for another challenge).
I started out by stamping the stamp with Versamark ink and embossing it with Wow Opaque White Detail powder. Then, I sprinkled Blue Blitz Nuvo Shimmer Powder and spritzed it with water. I set that aside to dry.
While waiting, I got out a scrap of Gina K Blue Raspberry and stamped the sentiment from Secret Santa with Versamark ink. I heat embossed the sentiment with more white embossing powder.

Once the panel was dry, I trimmed strips out of it with my Tim Holtz Trimmer. The grid marks on the trimmer made it easy to measure out the strips. Once I had it trimmed, I added it to a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base, with Fun Foam. Then I added the sentiment strip with foam tape.
What do you think? I bit of a different approach to the sketch challenge. I wish you could see the shimmer that is visible in real life! It’s so pretty.
Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful! It makes me wanna play in the snow! I’ll soak up a bit more of this sunshine first! Great job as usual.
