Hello, and welcome to my blog! Today’s post features my card for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. However, before we get into the card and details, I wanted to share some updates to the blog.
I created some new pages to the blog, that I think will be helpful to new card makers.

The first new page includes my favorite card making tools, with affiliate links (you may have noticed that I added affiliate links a few months ago, more details on the tool page). The second page has some quick tips for new card makers. This tips are more general right now, but as I plan to add basic technique videos.
Ok, back to business! This week, the theme for SSS Wednesday challenge is Back to School, with the product focus being SSS. I was purging my studio this weekend, and came across the set I used today. I almost put it in the purge pile, but held back.

Sorry about the poor photos, it was another rainy weekend in South Florida. By the time I made this card, the sun was gone.
I started out by trimming down a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. I stamped the cute animal outlines from Fingerprint Doodle with Altenew Jet Black ink, along with the sentiment. I added the “fingerprints” with Altenew’s Vanilla Cream, Industrial Diamond and Milk Chocolate. I added a touch of color to each image with Copic markers.
I made a card base from MFT’s Kraft cardstock, and added the panel with fun foam and Scor-Tape.
Very clean and simple. This card came together very quickly. I was glad, as I’ve been stuck, feeling overwhelmed with too much choice. I’m going to try to institute a spending freeze for August. Hopefully it forces me to use what I have on hand, AND allow me to save for Stamptember. Gah, is it really already August?!?!
Thanks for stopping by! Come back on Wednesday, I have another clean and sort of simple card to share. Oh, and let me know what you think about the new pages! Anything you would like to see included?
