Hello-Pinkfresh Studio

Welcome back! Today I have a bright and summery card to share for you. This card was inspired by the Pinkfresh Studio’s July Challenge.

This month the challenge is Cut Files & Die Cuts. I don’t have a cutting machine, like a Cricut or a Cameo, so I’m going with Die Cuts. I did learn that Pinkfresh Studios has a Facebook Friends Group, where they share free cut-files. You should go check it out!

Here is the inspiration image. Check out those summery colors!

I recently got my hands on the very popular Adore Alpha die set from Pinkfresh Studios and decided to use them for this card. I got out my ink swatches, and matched up the colors above to my inks. I ended up with Altenew’s Honey Drizzle, Eastern Sky, Sea Breeze, Just Green and Pink Pearl.

Using the new Taylored Expression’s Blender Brushes, I inked the colors on a panel of 110 lbs Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in an ombre effect. Then I die cut the letters to form Hello. I also die cut some flowers and leaves from the Magical Unicorn set from the inked panel. I stamped the inside of the flower and leaves with the same ink colors.

When I laid the letters and leaves out on my card front, it was still a little plain. Using the stencil from the Hero Arts December 2017 My Monthly Hero kit, I added some Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste to a panel of Neenah. Once it was dry, I added my letter with foam tape, and the flower with some liquid adhesive.

The card base is Gina K Design’s Soft Stone. Oh, and I added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops.

I love the sparkle and the bright colors on this card. It’s a little out of my comfort zone, with the jumbled up letters, but still fun.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
