Hello! You sparkle. And, I’m not just saying that because it’s the sentiment on today’s card. I really mean it. You sparkle and rock!
Ok. let’s get down to it. Today I am sharing the card I made for this week’s Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge. This week, the challenge is Stars and Stripes, and the product focus is MFT.
I know most people would naturally go with something patriotic, since it’s the week of the Fourth of July. Not me. I decided to use the Star Shaker Window Frame, so I got out my crazy collection of sequins and picked a color pallet based on the sequins I picked. I settled on Viola from Lucy’s Cards, which is purple, gold and white. It also has stars.

I started out with a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I die cut the star window three times. Using micropore tape, I inlaid the stars. Then I blended some Delicata Gold Glitz ink around the openings with a Life Changing brush.

When I was finished blending ink, I added the sentiment from MFT’s You Wow Me set with Boysenberry ink. Next, I removed the stars and added the star shaker pouches from MFT using Be Creative tape. Then I added the sequins to the shaker pouches put the inked stars back. I added a panel of scrap cardstock to the back to hold the stars in place.
I added the panel to a MFT Boysenberry card base, and added the Studio Katia Gold Sparkle gems to finish off the card.
I really like the shimmer from the Gold Ink. Using a Life Changing ink blending brush lets you put down a thin layer of ink. It gives just a tint of color and that lovely shimmer.
Thanks for stopping by!
