Arigato – Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge

Happy Wednesday and hello! Half way through the week, and today is my Monday (I took Monday and Tuesday off for a mini-vacation). I’m popping in to share a clean and simple card for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge.

The challenge this week is Travel/vacation, with the featured products Lawn Fawn. This was a bit tough for me, as most of my Lawn Fawn products are cute critters. The only thing I thought might lend itself to travel was the Let’s Roll set. Sushi, from a foreign country, travel…

Here is my card!

I started out by trimming a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock down using Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle dies. I stamped the images with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, using Post It Notes to mask the images. I stamped the sentiment from the set with Altenew Jet Black Ink.

Next, I said a prayer to the crafting gods, specifically to her lady of neat coloring, and took the plunge with some Copic Markers. Its very nerve wracking, coloring right on your card panel, instead of coloring something you intend to die cut. I didn’t do too bad, and only ended up with one oppsie, which I blended out as best I could.

I added my panel to a Lawn Fawn Black Licorice card base with fun foam and that’s it really. Clean, simple, and just the thing to get your heart racing first thing in the morning!

Check back in on Friday where I share some more involved cards. I made some interactive cards that were not shaker cards! Crazy, huh? It wasn’t all that hard either, thanks to some great products.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
