Oh Hello There- Simon Say Stamps Challenge

Welcome back! Today I am sharing a really quick post featuring the card I made for this week’s Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge.

This week the challenge is Anything Goes, featuring Gina K Design products. It just so happens that I ordered some new Gina K Design Foils, not that I have been bitten by the foil bug!

I wasn’t feeling so good this weekend, so I was just playing around in my studio, working on organizing some things, when I came across my Oh, Hello Turnabout set from Concord & 9th. The large Oh, Hello There sentiment caught my eye, and I thought it would pair nicely with the large speech bubble die from the Many Thanks Turnabout. So, thats how this card was born!

I stamped the Oh Hello Turnabout on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock 4 times, using the Sweet Dreams ink set from Altenew. Then I die cut the panel using MFT’s Mod Rectangle die.

Using more Neenah, I die cut the large speech bubble from the Many Thanks Turnabout set. Then I stamped the sentiment from Oh Hello with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. I added some Turquoise Sea foil from Gina K and ran in through my laminator.

I grabbed some Gina K Turquoise Seas cardstock and made the border for the speech bubble, along with the card base. I added the speech bubble to the stamped panel with foam tape.

I love the shine you get from the foil. It’s not the same as heat embossing. I can’t wait to play around with this some more!

I hope you don’t mind, I’m going to take the rest of the week off, blog wise. I really over did it last weekend, painting while sick. I am still recovering from that poor decision, and took it very easy this weekend. I have new cards to share still on Instagram, so please pop in over there if you are suffering from withdrawal! I just don’t have anything to share on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
