Our Friendship Is Picture Perfect-Simon Says Stamps Work It

Welcome back! Today’s post is a quick one, as I’m sharing a bonus post tomorrow (I can’t wait). I made a card for Simon Says Stamps Work it Wednesday challenge for May, and I made it on time this time!

The theme for May is Pet Project, and I just so happened to have this cute image from MFT’s Picture Perfect already colored.

Picture Perfect is a super cute set designed by Birdie Brown, and features animal selfies. I stamped all of the images when I first got the set, in Gina K Design Jet Black Amalgam ink. Then I colored the cats with Copic markers.

The picture frame is from MFT’s Polaroid Shaker Frame Die-namics, cut from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

I also just to happened to have a bunch of watercolor panels I made a little bit ago with Nuvo Shimmer powders. I used a different technique this time, covering the panels completely in color. This technique involved a lot of water, and left puddles on my glass mat. Being the frugal person I am, I dipped some spare watercolor cardstock in the leftover watercolor on my mat, and got this background. The Nuvo Shimmer powder color I used for this background is Blue Blitz. I did add some large water droplets to the panel, and lifted them off with a paper towel to add some color variation. These pictures fo not due justice to the shimmer on this panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect set on the Polaroid die cut with Altenew Jet Black ink, then added my colored image to the back with Scor Tape. Next, I added the picture to my watercolor panel with foam tape. A Neenah card base finishes off the card. Oh, and the Glossy Accents for the eyes. Simple, quick and cute!

Those cats make me smile every time I look at them! The other images in the set are just as cute. OMG the guinea pigs!!! I have a busy month coming up, but hopefully I’ll get to make a card with the other images.

Thanks for stopping by!
