Hello again! Considering the weather in the rest of the country, this might be a good card to share today. Today’s card was inspired by MFT Sketch challenge 432.
Here is the sketch:
Here is my card:
My original plan was to use items from the new release, but then my order arrived and I realized I did actually order the items I meant to use (it’s been a tough week). I pondered the sketch for a little bit and thought about the cloud stencil. I also just got the Aim For The Clouds sentiment set, which helped.
I blended Tumbles Glass, Faded Jeans and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, using MFT’s Cloud Stencil.
I trimmed the piece down to a two inch strip, and added thin layers of MFT Silver Sparkle cardstock to either side.
I stamped the two sentiments from Aim For The Clouds with Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink on banners made from Concord and 9th’s Monogram die set (its a bit longer then the sentiment dies from MFT). I also cut the die from more Silver Sparkle cardstock and layered the sentiments over them.
I added the stenciled piece to a Gina K Design’s Soft Stone cardstock, then added my sentiments with foam tape. The whole panel was added to a white card base.
I wish this card wasn’t so reflective of the weather, but it’s what we are stuck with. I’ll have some more cheerful cards later this week :).
Thanks for stopping by!
