Hello- Simon Says Stamps’ Wednesday Challenge

Happy Monday!?! I’m feeling a bit refreshed after a four day weekend, but still not happy about it being over. So, to cheer you (and me) up, I have an over the top, obnoxiously cute and glittery card.

Todays card was inspired by this week’s Simon Says Stamps’ Wednesday challenge. This week the theme is Animal Antics, and the product feature is Hello Bluebird. Hello Bluebird has many adorable critter stamp set. Unfortunately I don’t own any. I do own the Gallery Frame die, which I thought would make the perfect anchor for some cute critters I do have.

I knew I was going to use the Stamping Bella Unicorns. And, I knew I was going to make this the most unicorn of unicorn cards, so I cut the frame elements from Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust cardstock. I taped the outer frame and the inner grid together, then added some acetate with Scor-Tape. Next I added foam tape, because every unicorn card should be a shaker card!

Oh, before I started all of this, I stamped the unicorns with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. Then, I cut them out with the matching dies. After I had the acetate added to the frame, I added the unicorns.

For the shaker background, I blended Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink, then spritzed with water. Next, I used my embossing magic pouch to cover my acetate with powder, cleaned up the powder…, then added my sequins (Lucy’s Cards Twilight).

I die cut the sentiment hello (from the same Gallery Frame die set), four times from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and glued them together with liquid adhesive. I added the sentiment from the acetate with mote liquid adhesive.

You can’t really see the card base, but it’s MFT Tickled Pink.

Is this not the most unicorn of cards? It’s so over the top, I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
