Welcome back! I would say Happy Day, but it’s Monday and I am mourning the end of the weekend. However, I did make a Happy Day Birthday card for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge.
This week the challenge is the every popular Anything Goes. The product feature is Pink & Main. I don’t have any of their products, and I was dying to use the Birthday Basics from Concord and 9th, so that’s what I did.

I started stamping the Sprinkles Turnabout from Concord and 9th with Altenew’s Tide Blue, Sea Breeze and Turquoise inks, along with Delicata Silvery Shimmer. Then I die cut the balloon from Gina K Design’s Blue Raspberry cardstock. The banner was die cut from MFT’s Snow Cone and Silver Sparkle cardstock and layered together. I also die cut the Happy from the Silver Sparkle cardstock, along with 4 from white cardstock.

I added the banner to the balloon with liquid glue, then the happy. The balloon was added with foam tape. I after I added the balloon, I thought it needed something extra, so I tied the silver ribbon around the tail.
I used fun foam to add the card panel to the card base (GKD Blue Raspberry). I know, the foam tape, fun foam and stacked letters are A LOT of dimension, but this is not going in the mail, and I made sure it fit into the envelope. This is for a co-worker, one of my friends who was extremely supportive 2 years ago when I started making cards. She deserves tons of dimension lol!
I’m glad I got to play around with the Birthday Basics, even if I didn’t make a noise maker die cut (it’s the main reason I purchased this set). Maybe I’ll die cut one before I give this card to my friend.
Thanks for stopping by!
