Hugs & Kisses Turnabout

My favorite saying, at least for today, is better late then never! Sorry guys, I promised you this blog last week, and dragged my feet writing it. But, it’s finally here!

Before I start, we have to talk about Concord and 9th’s latest release! Oh my, it was a turnabout month! Seriously, there are some great products. Check out this link to their site. What I really want to draw your attention to is the Everyday Bouquet Turnabout Tool kit and the Turnabout Alignment Aid Pack. Also, the Turnabout Jigs, which are included in the Tool kit, or sold separately. There are also some pretty sweet turnabout sets, and I’ll go into more detail about these items next week when my order arrives (I didn’t order the whole release, but fairly close). This post is already going to be long, without my rambling on and on about how much I love the new items.

Todays post is for me to ramble on and on about how I love the items from January’s release, with the focus on the Hugs & Kisses Turnabout bundle (I did get the full January release).

Let’s jump right into the cards!

For this card, I started off with a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock panel (all of the cards are Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock) and stamped the turnabout 4 times, using the Tea Party ink set. Then I die cut the panel using the die from Confetti Card Maker. Next, I due cut the sentiment from the Hugs & Kisses turnabout from MFT’s Poppy Cardstock three times and layered them together with liquid adhesive

I also die cut some tiny hearts (I don’t remember what set these are from, but it was a January release item) from the same color cardstock, as well as made the card base with it.

I adhered the sentiment and the hearts to the card panel with liquid adhesive, then added the panel to the card base. I used clear Wink of Stella on the sentiment and cardstock hearts, along with Glossy Accents to the hearts.

This next one may be my favorite, just because of the sentiment! I knew I was going to use it as soon as I saw it. “Happy Single Awareness Day,” LOL!

On this card, I stamped the turnabout 4 times. Twice each with Delicata Silvery Shimmer and Golden Glitz. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold embossing powers.

I cut some more tiny hearts, this time from scrap gold and silver glitter cardstock, and adhered them with liquid adhesive. I added the panel to a MFT Kraft card base with fun foam.

This little cutie started off by stamping the turnabout 4 times. Twice with Delicata Silvery Shimmer and Sapphire Blue. The monster is from Monster Love, and was stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black ink, then colored with Copic Markers.

I added the little guy to a vellum heart die cut with foam tape. The vellum was added to the card panel with Scor-Tape hidden behind the monster, and some dots of liquid adhesive where the blue hearts are. I also covered the vellum heart with Clear Wink of Stella.

The card base is Gina K Design’s Blue Raspberry, and I finshed the card by adding Glossy Accents to the monster’s heart. Note to self, don’t add Glossy Accents over a sentiment. I don’t know if it was because of all the marker, or the Glossy Accents, but the sentiment got all fuzzy. Oh, and I adde black Nuvo drops to his eyes, and smudges of Glossy Accents to his teeth. Details lol.

Last but not least, another quick and simple card, using just the turnabout set. I stamped the turnabout 4 times, twice each using Delicata ink Ruby Red and Golden Glitz.

The sentiment from the set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Art’s Gold embossing powder. I added the panel to a MFT’s Wild Cherry card base with fun foam.

I was a big fan of the Bitty Burst turnabout, so I’m excited about this set as well. They are both so versitle, I see a lot os use for them. I still have two stamped panels yet to use, and I plan to use a heart die cut for the center of one of them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole

P.S. I just found out that COncord and 9th sold out of the Everyday Bouquet Turnabout kit as well as several other items from the January kit. I still encourage you to check them out, they are restocking soon!
