O Holy Night -Simon Says Stamps Challenge

Whew, made it to Wednesday! Time is flying so fast, I can’t keep up! Today I’ve got the cards I made for this past week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge. Yup, two cards this time.  If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw one of these cards.

This week the challenge was Anything goes (happy dance), and the product focus was Simon Says Stamps. Since I am in Christmas Card mode, and I have these awesome die cut sentiments from last year, I thought I’d give them a whirl.

This first card features the O Holy Night die, with the shadow die cut from a alcohol ink panel. I die cut the sentiment from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and glued them with liquid adhesive.

The background panel was more Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, sprayed with Hero Arts Iridescent spray. I added the sentiment with Scor-Tape once the panel was dry, then added Lucy’s Cards Grape Jewels. The card base and matching envelope are Gina K Design’s Lovely Lavender.

For the next card, I used one of the panels I made with the Brusho Crystals and Watercolor cardstock. I die cut the shadow Rejoice from vellum, and the sentiment with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

I added the sentiment to the watercolor panel with liquid adhesive, and some purple jewels from Lucy’s Cards Disco Ball Jewels. The card base is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and the envelope is a shimmery navy blue from MFT. I added the panel to the card base using fun foam.

Both cards were pretty easy to make. I was in a marathon card making frenzy on Sunday,  since I had been a bit of a slacker the weekend before. I wanted to have some new cards to share on Instagram, as well as the cards I made for challenges. It was fun to get inky again.

Thanks for stopping by!
