Have A Magical Christmas MFT Sketch 409

Happy Monday morning! Let’s start the week with the card I made for MFT’s Sketch Challenge 409. It’s a bit of a busy card, with a lot going on.

But first, the sketch:

And, now my card:

I started out adding Moonstone Nuvo Glitter Paste to a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with MFT’s Snow Flurry stencil and setting it aside to dry.  Then I die cut my snow bank using MFTs Snow Drift die from Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust cardstock.

The snowman and house are from MFT’s Scenic Snow Globe die set, which were assembled with liquid adhesive. The trees are from MFT’s Free Gift set (I think its called Over the Mountain)?

I added some light yellow cardstock behind the windows on the house, and filled the opening with Glossy Accents.

Once the Nuvo Paste was dry, I assembled the card without adhering it, to see how it looked. I thought there was too much white, so I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink over the Nuvo Paste. Then I put the card together, using Scor-Tape on the snow drift and liquid adhesive for the rest.

The sentiment is from MFT’s Secret Santa, stamped in Altenew’s Jet Black ink, and die cut with MFT’s Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips. I added the sentiment with Scor-Tape. The card base is more Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

This was one of those cards that comes to me right when I’m about to go to sleep at night. I’m glad I was able to make it work. It is busy, but I sent to make scenes like these every once in a while. Most of my Christmas cards this year have been pretty tame, so far. Lots of watercolor and big sentiments lol.

Which do you prefer for Christmas? Cute scenes or big sentiments?

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
