Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Happy Wednesday, and Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter Caitlin! This eccentric and amazing girl turns 20 today!

I thought I would celebrate her birthday hereby sharing the card I made for her. She had very specific request for her card, and I added my own twist.

Here is her card

Ok, there is a lot going on here 😂. I started by making a panel using Storm Cloud and Violet Brocade Nuvo Shimmer Powders, and die cut Hero Arts Cloudy Moon Fancy die. I die cut the same die from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and inlaid the Nuvo Shimmer Powder piece.

I stamped the planet image from Hero Arts Dream Big on Distress Watercolor cardstock using Versamark ink and embossed with Hero Arts Silver embossing powder. Then I painted it with shimmer watercolors.

Since this so Caitlin’s first Birthday in New York, I had to add a city twist. I stamped the city skyline from Concord and 9th’s City Stacks on more Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with Versamark and more Silver embossing powder, then cut it out with the matching die. I used foam tape to add the skyline, as well as the sentiment from Trinity Stamp’s Let Love Grow. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed with Wow Holographic Sparkle embossing powder.

I finished off the card with a Gina K Design’s Boysenberry cardstock.

I think I covered all her request, and added a special touch to commemorate this first year in the city. This is the first birthday we’ve spent apart since she was born, and I’m not dealing with that very well. I miss her terribly!

Thanks for letting me ramble! And, thanks for stopping by!
