Simon Say Stamps Challenges

Welcome back! Today is a great day, as I’ve got on more day of work (after today) and then it’s my weekend. Today I’m sharing the items I made for last week’s Simon Says Stamp’s challenges. I know the Monday challenge is long gone, but I still wanted to give a run down of what I made.

I’m going to start out with the Wednesday challenge, as I just realized it features components I also used on the Monday challenge. It’s also like opposite day, as I made a card for the Monday challenge (which is usually multimedia pieces) and a tag from Wednesday.

The Wednesday challenge was Anything but a Card,  and the featured products were MFT. Sorry, you’re about to get more Filled With Joy. At least it’s just a tiny tag. I’m not great with Multi Media, but a tag is pretty safe.

I started out by going pad to paper with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink, then heat set the ink. Using the new Snow Flurry stencil, I blended Memento Wedding Dress pigment ink, then heat set that too. I set the panel aside and made the snowman.

I cut all of the snowman components out of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, with the exception of the hat. I colored all of the pieces with Copic markers, then glued them together with liquid adhesive. I die cut the top hat from the velvet cardstock included in the card kit.

I used the tag from Concord and 9th’s Holiday Cheer tags set on the inked panel. Then I added the snowman to the tag. I stamped “to,” and “from,” on the back of the tag. Isn’t he cute?

On to last week’s Monday Challenge, which was Cityscape!

Here is my card. The pictures aren’t great, but here they are.

I stamped the city sky line from Concord & 9th’s City Stacks with Versaclaire Nocturne ink and embossed it in clear powder. Then I die cut it with the coordinating die, and layered it over the rest of my inked panel.

I added White Blizzard glitter drops on the snow flakes, for a little extra glitter. The sentiment is from the new October My Monthly Hero it, stamped in Altenew Jet Black ink. I used a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base to finish the card.

I was thinking earlier today, about how easy it is for me to make Christmas cards. I could make these all year long… they come so naturally to me. I guess because I’m a December baby, and this is my time of the year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
