Welcome back! Today I’m sharing the card I made for this week’s MFT card challenge. I found myself inspired by the new MFT card kit, Filled With Joy.
First, the sketch:
My card:
I stared out by stamping the large Joy from the kit with Versamark ink on Distress Watercolor cardstock and embossing it with white powder three times. Then I sprinkled Scarlet Brusho over the embossed sentiment and misted it with water.
I set the panel aside to dry and die cut the snowflake from Silver Sparkle cardstock, as well as Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I layered the white three times and added the Silver Sparkle over it. When the panel was dry I added the snowflakes with liquid glue. I thought about adding a sentiment strip to match the sketch, but decided to leave it as it. Or, rather, I forgot to add the strip, and now I’m upstairs and it’s too dark to take new pictures lol.
I’m working on a blog post that will show the difference between Nuvo Shimmer Power and Brusho, and how I make my watercolor backgrounds. A friend of mine sent me a set of Brusho, and this panel was one of my first attempts with it. Thanks Jane, for the goodies!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
