Happy half way through the week! We are that much closer to the weekend. Today’s post is a quick post featuring the card I made for Where Creativity Meets C9’s September challenge.
This month as you can see is a color inspiration challenge. Here is the image:
And…..here is my card:
I think 4 out of 6 colors counts, right? I started out by die cutting the cacti images from Concord and 9th’s Stuck on You out of MFT’s Summer Splash cardstock. I blended some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink to add interest. Then I die cut the pots from MFT’s Peach Bellini and Coral Crush cardstock. The squiggle line was die cut from Gina K Design’s Slate cardstock.
I adhered the cacti to the pots, and then added them to the card panel. The tall cactus was added flat, and the short one with foam tape. I stamped the sign and sentiment from the same set on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, fussy cut it and adhered it with foam tape. I colored a shadow with Copic markers, and added the panel to Slate card base.
My original plan was to go with what I thought was the easy route, and used the wreath turnabout stamps. But, I’ve been thinking about using this set again for awhile, and decided to go with it. I think it turned out super cute!
Oh, I forgot to mention, I got Honorable Mention with the card I made in August! I was super stoked!
Thanks for stopping by!
