Hello and welcome back! I bet you guys are as tired of hearing this as I am saying it, but I spent most of the weekend trying to recover from this stupid cold. As you’ve probably noticed, I get sick a lot. I’m trying to work with my doctors to figure out why, but I’m not having much luck.
On to better news! Concord and 9th’s September release went on sale yesterday. The focus of this month’s release is Christmas. Since this is my second holiday season as a card maker, I was rather curious to see if I would feel the need to order a bunch of new things, or if I would be satisfied with all the items I purchased last year. I remember that at one point last season I stopped buying things, because I already had so much to work with. I’ve grabbed a couple of items from last year that I thought were cute, but managed to hold off on, but only when they were on sale. How would I hold up against brand new goodies? I can safely say that I seem to be holding strong, although it’s still early lol.
There were some great items from Concord and 9th’s new release that I had to grab.
My favorite items is the Holiday Cheer Tag Bundle.
I wasn’t really a tag person, until the Hero Arts November 2017 kit came out. Then, all the gifts had hand made tags… And shaker tags!!! I saved all those lol. I like that these are larger tags, and I love the sentiments!!
My second favorite item, and it was a close call, is Very Merry Sentiments Stamp Set.
I had to have this set, because last year I struggled with what to add to the inside of my cards. There were a couple of sentiments with the Joyful Noel set, but they were a little formal. This set is awesome. Plus, I now have a huge customized stamp for my sister Noel. Look Nell, customized note cards lol. These sentiments are also sized to fit on a number of C&9s dies, including the tags set above.
Another thing I had my eye on was the Free with $60 gift this month. Holly Jolly Banner dies. Some of the Very Merry Sentiment stamps also fit on the banner dies too. Talk about a versatile set!!!
This release also had a two different Turnabout stamps, Deck the Halls and Snowflakes.
I decided not to get these, as a friend of mine is sending me the turnabout stamp from last year. But, I have to admit, looking at them now makes me second guess myself.
One set I may go back for is the Merry and Bright Bundle.
Once I looked at the samples on the C&9th page, I saw the potential with this set (really, all the sets now that I’m looking again).
Sigh. I am having a hard time sticking to my guns. I have so many really cool products from last year, I shouldn’t be spending a fortune on new items. I haven’t even gotten through Stamptember yet, and there are always cute Christmas sets included (well, at least there was last year). Oh and Mama Elephant has super cute agenda sets for their September release. Someone please send help, or a winning lottery ticket!
What is your favorite item from the new Concord and 9th release?
Thanks for stopping by!
