Happy Friday! I had planned on writing a post sharing the cards I made with the Celebration Bundle, but I’m too clumsy and I struggled to make the present halves line up. I’ll try again, when I’m not going like a mad woman.
I did get to make a card with some of the elements from the set, of course it’s a Christmas card.
I made the present by trimming the present pieces from my
third forth attempt at the using the card die. I had stamped the polkadots with Delicata Ruby Red ink. The ribbon and top from the present were cut from Simon Says Stamps Glitter Crimson cardstock.
I layered the pieces together and added them to the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White panel with foam tape. The adorable little tag is also from the Celebration Bundle, and the tree was stamped with Altenew Frayed Leaf and Forest Glade. I added a star to the top with Delicata Golden Glitz. I used a red and white cord to attach the tag to the present. I love that little tag!
The card base is MFT Wild Cherry, with the matching envelope from Simon Says Stamps. Oh, and the sentiment is from the C&9’s Ornamental Bundle (although, there is a Happy Holidays in the Celebration set, as you’ll see below).
Since I was having such a difficult time with the card die, I turned my attention to the other new stamps and dies I bought. This next card was made from the So Happy For You Bundle.
It occurred to me, belatedly, that some of the flowers in this set looked like poinsettias. I stamped them with Delicata Ruby Red ink, and die cut them. I stamped some of the leaf images with more Frayed Leaf and Forest Glade, and die cut those as well. I die cut the circle from the set from Gold Foil cardstock.
Using a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, I layered the circle and flowers. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped with Delciata Ruby Red ink. I used another MFT Wild Cherry card base, with the matching SSS envelope. I added gold Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers, and Ruby Slipper Nuvo Glitter drops. The red gems are from Lucy’s Cards Disco Ball.
Even though I didn’t get to make the cards I planned, I still got to have fun. And, I got a head start on my Christmas cards! Have you started your Christmas cards yet?
Thanks for stopping by!
