Whew! It’s Wednesday! This week is a rough one at work. All of my co-workers are in town, which means all day meetings. It’s a little exhausting. Thankfully I have crafting to help recover. Today I’m sharing the card I made for Altenew’s August Inspiration Challenge.
Here is the inspiration picture:
I thought this was the perfect chance to break out the new watercolors!
Here is my card:
I stamped the large, floral image from Extra Special with Versaclair Nocturne ink and embossed with clear powder on Distress Watercolor cardstock along with the small flowers from the Build a Rose set. The flowers were colored with Persian Blue. The leaves were filled in with Frayed Leaf and Forest Glade. The small flowers are Sunkissed.
I die cut the images, and layered them together. The sentiment is also from Extra Special, and was stamped with Versaclair Nocturne ink and embossed with clear powder. Blackberry gems accent the card. The card base is PaperTrey Ink’s Enchanted Evening.
I kinda wish I had added something to the background, but otherwise it turned out pretty well. I enjoyed using the watercolors, although I need to practice more.
Thanks for stopping by.
