Surprise! I have a bonus post for you this week. There are so many card challenges with deadlines rapidly approaching, and I need to squeeze in this card for MFT.
This week, the sketch is:
Here is my card:
When I first saw the sketch, I new I was going to use the Starry Circle die, with a galaxy sky made from Nuvo Shimmer powder (Storm Cloud and a touch of Violet Brocade). However, I wasn’t sure what to do about the wide stripe behind it. Every time I try to use cardstock or patterned paper, it looks so awkward. Then I thought about the card I made recently, with the Nuvo Glitter paste. Why not make a stripe with Moonstone Glitter paste?
I added a circle of Silver Sparkle cardstock behind the starry circle, and adhered it to the card panel with foam tape once the Moonstone paste was dry. The sentiment is from Counting Stars, with the shadow cut from vellum and the outline from white glitter cardstock. The “Make A…,” was stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver powder.
I accented the card with some of the stars from the Starry Circle, and made a Periwinkle cardstock.
I have to admit, I love that glitter paste. I like the sketchy look of just smearing it onto the cardstock. This card was fun to make, and doesn’t feel as awkward as the sketches normally do.
Thanks for stopping by!
