Concord & 9th Tintables and Nuvo Shimmer Powder

Wahoo, happy Friday! I’m a week away from being a home owner (commence hyperventilating now). I have some cards to share with you, made with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and C&9th’s Tintable cards. I can’t believe it took me this long to try this combo!

Let’s start with my favorite (it was hard to chose).

Here is a sneak peek at the border die from the Confetti Card set. I thought the style was perfect for the chevron pattern.

I shook some of the Violet Brocade Shimmer Power on the panel, trying to follow the columns from the chevron pattern, leaving some white space in between. I love the lighter spots, as well as the shimmer on the more concentrated spots.

I didn’t want to cover the background, so I used the tag die from the Sprinkle turnabout set and cut it from vellum. I took one of the sentiments from Everyday Greetings and heat embossed it with a Hampton Arts dark purple embossing powder. I die cut the tiny hearts from MFT’s Pure Plum Sparkle cardstock. The ribbon is from Hero Art’s April kit, and the purple shimmer envelope is from Simon Says Stamps. I want to hug this card!!!

Next up is this cutie! I tried to make a stormy sky with the dots. This is mostly Storm Cloud powder, with a tiny bit of Violet Brocade, and I tired to keep the color at the top, and let it run down the card. The images and sentiment are from Mama Elephant’s Rain or Shine.

I colored the images with Copic markers, and added them with fun foam behind them. The envelope is Lovely Lavender from Gina K Designs. This card base, and the previous one are Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

For this card, I again wanted some white space, but otherwise no particular idea. I wish you could see the shimmer on this background! I die cut the sentiment, which was a free gift in April. I layered it on white cardstock four times, to give it dimension. Some more small hearts, this time with Blue Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

The envelope is Gina K Design’s Tranquil Teal, and the card base is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

Here is the last card, with my photography assistant. This card took the least work. All I needed to do was make sure you could see the sentiment. I picked my tie for favorite Shimmer Powder, Catherine Wheel. I shook it over the sentiment, and sprayed away.

I used MFT’s Mod Rectangles to die cut the panel, and added it to a Gina K Design’s Passionate Pink card base. The envelope matches the card base, and I finished off the card with Lucy’s Cards Clear Iridescent jewels.

I had a lot of fun making these cards, and they came together pretty quickly. The shimmer powder makes quiet an impact, especially in person. I actually ordered a couple more colors after this (I know, I shouldn’t be buying new things). I really encourage everyone to try these powders. They make anyone look good!

Well, I close on the house next week! As I mentioned, I’m not sure how many post I’ll have to share over the next couple of weeks. Maybe I’ll share some quick, life post. Let me know if you have any ideas, or anything you would like to see.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
