Welcome back! I hope today is kind to you! Monday’s tend to a bit rough, since it means the weekend is over. I have some very bright cards to share with you, and hopefully brighten your day!
As you can tell from the title, today I’m sharing the cards I made using the Distress Oxide ink and Glossy cardstock panels. Nothing fancy, just some quick, vibrant cards.
Let’s tackle the brightest one first!
I think it’s fitting that used Concord and 9th’s Rainbow Wishes for this rainbow panel. I took three of the arch shapes, stamped them with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with my favorite Wow Hologram Sparkle embossing powder. I wanted to enhance the color in the panel, and add some subtle shimmer.
Next, I die cut the word Bright from the set, and added it over the heat embossed arches. Then I added the sub sentiments, stamping them in Versafine Onyx ink and embossing with ear powder. I added the panel to a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base, and added Glossy Accents to the work Bright.
Next up we have a blue and purple panel.
I kept this one pretty simple. Using the April My Monthly Hero kit, I built the sentiment. My Misti made is really simple to layout all the stamps and stamp them all at once (with the exception of the banner around you). I used Versafine Onyx ink on this card too, along with the Hologram embossing powder. I love how the embossing powder picks up the purples. I apologize for the pictures, it was dark outside by the time I finished these.
Last up, I have the pink and gray panel. I love this color combination!
For this card I cut a vellum panel, to lay a foundation for the sentiment. I cut the sentiment from Concord and 9th’s Fabulous Friends out of MFT Silver Sparkle cardstock. I layered over 2 of the same sentiment, cut from white cardstock, to give it some dimension.
I added some tiny hearts I had leftover from previous cards and viola! A quick card with tons of Sparkle!
I actually still have one panel left, but I ran out of steam this weekend. Trying to get over a cold, and get ready to face today lol! The remaining panel is blues and greens, so I’m thinking I might have to break out the mermaids again.
Thanks for stopping by!
