Mama Elephant’s Me & My Dragon and Nuvo Shimmer Powders

Welcome back! I have a quick post for you, sharing my first card with the awesome Me and My Dragon set from Mama Elephant.

This set is fabulous! It has a very close resemblance to a certain, extremely popular show with dragons and wolves.

I actually stayed up until midnight the night is this release, so I would not miss it! The samples shared on Mama Elephant’s social media accounts were so inspiring. I know I can’t color that well, but I gave it a go.

Sorry about the bad lighting, I finished the card at about 8 last night and had to share it with you today.

I colored the dragon and little girl with Copic markers. I used the colorless blender to add some texture, along with a white gel pen.

The galaxy background was made with Nuvo Shimmer Powders (Violet Brocade and Stormy Skies). The whole panel is shown below. Unfortunately the shimmer does not show in the pictures.

I used MFT’s Starry Circle to cut out the background, and layered MFT’s Silver Sparkle cardstock behind it. Then I added it to a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock panel, die cut using Simon Says Stamps Stitched rectangles.

I add the dragon and girl with foam tape.

The sentiment is from Dragon Wishes, a companion set to Me and My Dragon. It ha some fabulous sentiments!

The white panel was added to a card base made from Gina K Design’s Lovely Lavender.

I can’t even begin to tell you how easy it was to make this galaxy background, using the Nuvo Shimmer Powders! Sprinkle some powder, spray some water then let dry. I never thought I would be able to make one so colorful!

Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned! I have a couple more cards I make using the Nuvo Shimmer Powders. This week is pretty busy, but I’ll try to put another post together for Thursday.
