Hello and welcome back! I wanted to write a quick post to share my unboxing of this month’s Hero Arts kit. I apologize for the poor pictures, the mail arrived late and I had to use the crappy lighting in my craft space.

The kit includes several sheets of standard black, white and kraft cardstock. It also has a gorgeous Sparkly Silver embossing powder, and my new favorite sequins mix! Check it out:

I love the stars, and the velum like sequins!

The script work dies truly are beautiful! The have a little something extra that makes them stand out. I love the little tag die. Its the perfect size!

Look at that huge stamp set! I love the little decorative images too, like the coffee mug and could.

So, of course I made a card. Well, really I had already made a couple of cards. The only issue was I was struggling to add sentiments to them. I was just playing around one night with left over die cuts and backgrounds, and put three cards together, no real plan. Then they just sat there…waiting for me to finish them. I was toying with the idea of not adding any sentiments. Then I saw this kit and figure if there was any way I could figure out sentiments, it would be with this.

This first card is all Hero Arts. The background was from when I was smooshing Distress Oxide inks. This one is Tattered Rose and Hickory Smoke. I added the white spray from a previous kit. I used the same spray on the eggs. I added a strip of vellum to anchor the nest and tucked the eggs inside.

The sentiment was gold glitter cardstock layered on pink three times. I finished it off with gold confetti sequins.

For this card, I used Concord and 9th’s Polkadot stamp, with Delicata Shimmery Pink. I added the Altenew Build a Rose flowers and leaves with foam tape. The sentiment on this card was cut out of MFT’s Silver Sparkle cardstock and three layers of Gina K Design’s Moonlit Fog. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves, and some Bubblegum Blush Nuvo Drops. The card base is Gina K Design’s Passionate Pink.

This card is another Distress Oxide ink smooshing background, with Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and Hickory Smoke. I used Simon Says Stamp’s Wonky Rectangle dies to cut out the panel. I added the leaves with double sided adhesive, and the rose with foam tape. The sentiment was layered the same as above. Silver Moondust Nuvo Glitter drops to accent the card.

I had a lot of fun making the cards, just playing around for fun. I think the scripty font of these dies add the perfect touch to them. They are just delicate enough not to over power the images, even layered over the flower like the second card.

Thanks for stopping by!
