Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Layer it Up!

Welcome back! Today I am sharing the cards I made…well, I didn’t make them for the SSS Wednesday challenge, but they qualify! As I mentioned on Monday, I wasn’t focused on making challenge cards this weekend. I just got really lucky with this week’s Wednesday challenge.  Some of the new products I planned to work with were from Concord and 9th, which just so happened to be spotlight products for this week. I ended up with several card that qualified.

Here is the first one, which I shared previously on Instagram. I’ve been trying to use up some backgrounds and panels I made ages ago.

This card features the Oh Hello turnabout from C&9, stamped in several Altenew inks (I’m sorry, I don’t have the colors written down). I die cut “Oh, Hello There,” using the die from SSS, and layered some Silver Sparkle cardstock from MFT behind it. The card base is Gina K Designs Moonlit Fog. I used fun foam to add the panel to the card base, and finished the card with Lucy’s Cards Pink Jewels.

I ended up with a second card to use for the challenge.

This card uses the Grateful For You stamp, colored with Copic markers. I used MFT’sStitched Mini Scallop Rectangles to cut the stamped image out, and layered in on a Gina K Design’s Blue Raspberry card base using fun foam. I added Nuvo Drops to the flowers to add interest.

This card was made with some of the new products I wanted to focus on. The large Love is from C&9 Hearts and Love. The shadow was cut from Vellum, and the word itself from SSS Crimson Glitter cardstock. I also used C&9’s quilted heart to cut a heart out of the Crimson Glitter and MFT Wild Cherry card stock. The tiny hearts are from the Crimson Glitter too. I used some more Wild Cherry to stamp the sentiment “You & Me,” from C&9 Monogram Ampersand, in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder. The card base is Wild Cherry too.

Speaking of the Monogram stamps from C&9, I played around with those this weekend as well, and will be sharing them with you on Friday. I didn’t really get into the die cuts and all the possibilities, just did basic stamping.

I also played around with the January Hero Arts kit, but I haven’t finished all the cards yet, so I’m saving that for next week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
