Welcome back! This week I am switching things up a bit, skipping the MFT Sketch Challenge, and instead participating in the Paper Smooches and Where Creativity Meets C9 challenges, along with the SSS Wednesday Challenge.
Let’s start off with the Simon Say’s Stamps Wednesday Challenge! This week the challenge was to “Add A Sentiment,” and the featured products are Clearly Besotted.
I only have the one, amazing and adorable Clearly Besotted set (Hot Stuff), so not a lot of choice. However, this is one of my favorite sets, so I’m ok with that.
I had so much to do this weekend, so I kept the card design very simple. I grabbed one of my alcohol ink panels (sorry, but I have to use them up) and cut it down with my go to SSS Stitched Rectangle die. I used the second largest cloud die from Hero Art’s Nesting Die set to give my little dragon a place to sit. The baby dragon was previously colored with Copic markers, and I popped him up with foam tape. The sentiment “Just Hatched,” is from the same stamp set, in that distinctive Clearly Besotted font. I scattered some Lucy’s Cards jewels in Pool to finish off the card. Oh, and I added a little bit of white Nuvo drops to his eyes, to give them a bit of interest.
I think those baby dragons are adorable! This is one of the very first stamp sets I purchased, I just could not resist them! It took me forever to track down the matching dies.
The Daily Marker is hosting another 30 day coloring challenge right now. I went back and forth with myself about participating, but honestly, I still haven’t used all the images I colored from the last challenge in September! Next time I am going to limit myself to one or two images a day, but the whole stamp set! I encourage you to participate, its a great challenge and very relaxing! Check out the page here.
Thanks for stopping by! Check back on Wednesday to see the card I made for the Paper Smooches challenge, and Friday for C9!
