Lets unbox this baby!
This month I added an “extra,” item to my order, the Window on Love Confetti Fancy Die. You can see it here, on top. I already created something with it, which you’ll see at the end of the post.
Underneath the die is the thank you card from Hero Arts, and some pink pearl embellishments.
Next, we get into the kit,. I love that pink tissue paper!
The stamps and dies are on the left, papers, inks, embossing powered and sequins on the right. That paper is gorgeous!
I have to mention, the paper smells funny. I think it is because the patterned paper is almost like a fabric. Its really soft. But, look at those vibrant colors. And the embossing powder, it’s sparkly!!! I’ll have to use it this weekend to see what the effect is.
The word Love and the ampersand are layering stamps. When you stamp the two layers together, it’s gorgeous! It has the look of really old calligraphy or illuminated letters. Especially if you emboss the decorative layer. I can’t way to play around with this!
I’m not sure how easy it will be to do something “original,” but some of the examples the design team shared were too lovely not to CAS.
As I mentioned, I did play around with the Fancy Die. I didn’t make a complete card, but I started one. It took me a couple our hours to piece this together, and I still had to write this post, and all on a “school night.” Actually, I was getting tired, and I made myself stop before I messed up all my hard work!
I die cut the Fancy Die from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, MFT Silver Sparkle and Cotton Candy Sparkle cardstocks. I originally tried stamping the large “Love,” from the kit on vellum, and wrapping it around the middle, but it was too big. I think I am going to stamp some of the small sentiments from the kit, maybe “sending love,” on small sentiment strips and adhere them with foam tape. I really want to die cut the word “Love,” from a Simon Says Stamps set I have, but I want to make the first card using all Hero Arts items. I can mix and match later. And, I do still have the Silver and Cotton Candy Sparkle frame pieces left to play with.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend! I have so many new products to play with, I may not even leave the house.
