Happy Wednesday! Today I have a new card to share with you. This card was made for Simon Say’s Stamps Wednesday Challenge. The challenge this week is to use patterned paper. The company showcased this week is Doodlebug Products.
I don’t have any Doodblebug Products, and patterned paper is not my favorite, but at least I have some!
Here is my card:
I used the new Hero Arts stamp set, Layered Topiary Stamp & Cut set I picked up last weekend, at the preview. I knew I wanted to try this set with some non traditional colors, and I seem to be on a Delicata Shimmer ink kick (you’ll see later this week). I used the Pink and Silver, as well as Altenew’s Pink Diamond for the topiary layers. I used Altenew Bamboo ink for the trunk, and shimmery Pink again for the pot.
Check out the shimmer:
The sentiment is from Hero Art’s Bloom, and I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with the Hero Arts silver powder. I layered the topiary on a MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangles. I matted the stitched panel with some silver patterned paper from the Hero Arts MMH August 2017 kit. It’s hard to see, but it’s almost like a fabric, with silver glitter designs on it. The card base is Gina K. Design’s Moonlit Fog and Rose Pink jewels from Lucy’s Cards finish off the card.
I had a lot of fun putting this card together. Even though it’s not conventional, I like the pink and silver shimmer ink and the splash of green on the trunk I actually made several of the heart leave parts, for a different idea.
Thanks for stopping by!
