MFT Sketch Challenge 366

Hello and welcome back! I want to apologies ahead of time, this post was put together on my phone. My back was feeling better Saturday so of course I over did it… I was able to make some cards, and I felt fine. The minute I stopped the pain came back. I guess I distracted myself crafting and didn’t notice what I was doing to myself. Lesson totally learned!

So, there may be typos (will be lol) and this post will be short, but thankfully I have a card to share with you.

Here is the sketch for this week:

And, here is my card:

I used an alcohol ink background for the right side of the card as well as the background for the windows. The circles and border on the right were made with the Peek-a-boo Triple Window and Edge die set.

I had previously colored the images from MFT’s Magical Dragon’s with COPIC Markers and I tucked them into the windows with Scor-tape. I wish I had positioned the knight a little more to the right, but he’s not coming up now.

I stamped the sentiment from the kit with Altenew Jet Black ink and cut a strip. I matted it on MFT’s Cornflower Sparkle cardstock to help it standout a little.

The card base is MFT’s Sno-cone cardstock, and I adhered the panel to the card base with fun foam.

It’s a cute card, but I should have waited another day and let myself rest. I’m not really good at that. Maybe that should be my goal for 2018, be more mindful about self care. It’s something I keep telling my 19 year old daughter. Maybe she needs to see me living it.

Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully my next post will be from my computer! I have a card to share for the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge, AND, it’s made with stamps that Hero Arts sent out in limited quantities as a sneak peak! Items never before seen on the internet (unless someone beats me to the post on Wednesday)!
