Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge

Happy hump day! Today we take a look at this week’s Wednesday Challenge, and something besides a card!

This week the challenge was Stitch It! We are Memory Keepers is the feature product.

This should be a piece of cake! I use a stitched  rectangle die on almost every card…

The hang up was We are Memory Keepers. The only products I have are the Fuse tool and my combination scor-board and trimmer (which I use on every card). Of course, I had to put my literal hat on, and decided to use the Fuse tool to make a tag… And totally forgot about the stitches! Well, let’s call the pattern the Fuse tool makes stitches 😉

I’m still working out the kinks with the Fuse tool, so please excuse my messy lines. I cut out a tag shape from Concord & 9th’s Sprinkle Bundle, and stamped out a scene from Hero Art’s October kit (I masked off the bag, so it would sit in front of the tree). I used Hero Arts Intense Black ink to stamp the images, and then colored them in with Copic markers and some Wink of Stella shimmer pens.

Once I had the tag colored, I tucked into a plastic page protector, and laid the die over the tag. I used die as the pattern, and ran my pre-heated Fuse tool around the sides and bottoms. I stopped and added a mix of Lucy’s Cards Crystal sequins and some iridescent stars. I didn’t want to add too much sequins, and cover up the images.

Next, I laid the tag die back over the tag, and used the Fuse tool to finish off the top. I tried to follow the pattern, but it was too intricate and I ended up just matching the angel.

I really love making scenes with this Hero Arts kit. I keep turning to it over and over again. And if you squint, of course that looks like stitches! I could have kicked myself when I realized I had skipped that part!

Thanks for stopping by!
