Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. This weekend we celebrated my Daughter’s birthday by going to the Halsey concert. It was my daughter, her best friend and I and we had a lot of fun. Halsey is amazing in person!
Back to crafting. This week the sketch challenge at MFT was:
I struggled a bit with this sketch. The star really threw me off. I spent some time looking at the design team’s inspiration post to help me out. I also wanted to try to use scraps or items already on hand, as I didn’t have a lot of time. I showed my daughter the sketch and inspiration pictures and asked her what I should do. She suggested a rainbow (not sure why). Then I remembered the rainbow squares!
Here is my take on the sketch.
I had these squares left over from cards I made a little bit ago. And, I have the Rainbow Greetings sentiment set from MFT, several of which were perfect for this card.
I used the mini scallop stitched rectangle frame die to cut out the panel, then layered the squares and glued them down. I stamped the sentiment from the Rainbow greeting kit in Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with Wow Hologram powder.
I adhered my white panel to Kraft cardstock with Fun Foam in between. I finished the card off with some Lucy’s Cards Rainbow jewels.
This was a pretty quick, fun card to make. I love the pile of rainbow squares!
Thanks for stopping by!
