Happy Monday! We’ll break the week in with a quick post featuring the card I made for this week’s MFT Sketch Challenge.
Here is the sketch:
This week I went back to my trusty (and favorite) Magical Dragons.
I had these dragons I previously colored in gray (a bit of a different color choice). I decide to use them and die cut a circle from my panel instead of layering one on it. I took my card base (110 lb. Neenah Classic Crest Solar White), masked off a small strip on the right edge, and then blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I sprayed the blended ink with water and Shimmer spray and blotted it. Then I layered my die cut panel over it with foam tape.
I adhered my dragons flat to the card panel and with some foam tape where they fell over the blended ink.
I finished the card off with the sentiment from the card, layered on MFT Stitched Fishtail sentiment strips, and some Lucy’s Cards jewels in Pool.
Once again I ended up with a card I really like, that didn’t feel forced. I don’t want to push my luck. Well, actually I did with the WCMD challenge. But, out of all the cards I made, I only felt “forced,” on one. And it still turned out nice.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!
