Welcome back! Today I want to take a look at some of the items I picked up from Concord and 9th’s September release, as well as some other items new to me.
Lets jump right in with my favorite holiday, Christmas! This is the Joyful Noel Bundle:
The stamp set includes a couple of squares that are great for making backgrounds. There are also a couple of circle shaped images (the lights and the wreath) that can be used to form the “O,” in the words “Joy,” and “Noel.” The rest of the words are made with dies. Then there are sentiments to support the die cut words, or to add on their own. I made several cards with this set.
The last card was made using the wreath stamp to make a background, and then I added an image from Mama Elephant’s Wooly Winter, as well as the sentiment.
The next set I want to share with you is the Many Thanks Turnabout.
This set includes the turnabout stamp, as well as some supporting stamps (#allthefeels, THX, A Million +1). The coordinating dies cut out the the work “Thanks,” in two different sizes, as well as speech bubbles and “XOXO.” Several of the stamps from the stamp set will fit nicely into the speech bubbles. I haven’t had a chance to play with this set yet, but I’m thinking of using the large speech bubble as a Christmas card, with Joy inside, if it will fit.
Concord and 9th offered a bonus stamp set with purchases of $60 or more. This is the Grateful for You set. It’s one large stamp with flowers and a sentiment. I haven’t made a card yet, but I did color the image.
The next set I want to share with you wasn’t from the September release, however I did purchase this in September. This is the Hope Bundle. Concord and 9th is donating the proceeds from the purchase of this set throughout the month of September to people recovering from Hurricane Harvey. I planned on buying this set, even before we were hit by a hurricane ourselves.
This set included large, layering sketchy flowers, and the large “Hope,” sentiment. It also includes 5 sentiments to support the word “Hope.” The coordinating dies cut out a banner shape of sorts, and the word “Hope,” in stripes. I have a card made with this set to share.
I want to also try stamping these flowers with the new Altenew inks I just received. They are the new yellow set and the new blue set. They are gorgeous!!!
Thanks for sticking through my most recent Concord and 9th haul! I just had to treat myself after dealing with Hurricane Irma and some other issues. I’m a hopeless shopaholic.
See you soon!
