Simon Says Stamps Fingerprint Doodles

I hope you had a safe and fun 4th of July! This is another new item from Simon Says Stamps that instantly sparked some card ideas for me. I made 8 cards at one sitting!

I am a big fan of the Simon Says Stamps CZ Simple Sentiments. They are sassy and funky! One of my ideas was to make smaller note cards using a small image and the sentiments. Something like the Mama Elephant Agenda Girl. Then SSS released the Fingerprint Doodles!

I did two rounds of these cards, one with pastel card bases and one with darker card bases. I really wanted to match the ink for the fingerprints with the card bases. However, I realized after the dark blue bird that I needed to use lighter inks.

The pig has Gina K Designs Bubblegum Pink ink and card base. The turtle is Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass ink and MFT Limeade card base. The fish is MFT Sno-Cone ink and card base (my favorite, with the Nuvo Morning Dew Drops). The cat is MFT Wild Wisteria ink and Gina K Designs Lovely Lavender card base. I love how they turned out!!!

Here is the darker set.

The top bird is Lawn Fawn Wild Rose and the card base is MFT Wild Cherry. The flamingo is Lawn Fawn Plastic Flamingo and the card base is Gina K Designs Passionate Pink. The blue bird is MFT Lush Lagoon ink and Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry ink.

I added Lucy’s Cards Jewels in matching colors, from the Rainbow pack. I used Altenew Jet Black ink for all the sentiments and MFT Black Licorice Hybrid for the images, so I could add Copic accents.

I stepped out on the wild side, and made all of these cards 4 bar or A1 size (3.5″ x 4 7/8″). Now I need matching envelops lol.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole
