Making Cards

Gansai Tambi Watercolor Backgrounds

Another quick blog post to share what I did with the backgrounds I made the day the GT watercolors arrived. I just realized that I only shared a video of one of the backgrounds. I made a second panel, using yellow, blue and green.

I already shared with you one of the cards I made with the panel (the MFT sketch challenge). I ended up with three cards (it was difficult to think about cutting them up)!

After I cut the heart out of the pink panel, I decided to make a shaker card with what remained. I used vellum instead of clear acetate because I felt the background had so much shimmer and special effect that I wanted to mute the sequins.

The heart die is from Your Next Stamps, the fairies and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn. The Kraft cardstock is from MFT.

I used the same Lawn Fawn faries on the blue panel. I again used vellum to cut out the MFT Starry Circle. I didn’t want to completely cover up the background. Then I added some sequins, because it’s mandatory with fairies! I also learned that you can’t stamp directly onto watercolors with this card. The ink did run a bit. The blue card base is my favorite Blue Raspberry from Gina K. Designs.

I described the Dragon card in the MFT challenge post and it’s basically all MFT except for the heart die cut and the Passionate Pink card base (Gina K. Designs).

All of the fairies have some Wink of Stella, and I added some white gel pen to the sunflower. Also added Nuvo drops here and there.
