Fab Flowers and Hologram Embossing Powder

Just a quick post tonight. I was finally able to play with the Fab Flowers stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn. This design came to me while I was driving on the highway Monday. I started carrying sketch paper with me, so I can, very roughly, sketch out my ideas.

Anyway, this idea came to me, and I used these super bright Lawn Fawn inks to execute it. The paint splotches are from MFT Stamps Distressed Patterns.

The sentiment is also from MFT, Rainbow Greetings. I thought it went well with all the  colors. I added some Wink of Stella to the butterflies body and the darker parts of the flowers. Also sprinkles around some Nuvo Crystal drops.

Now, about the holograms. I stumbled across this amazing embossing powder on accident. I was buying Wow’s Super Fine Opaque White powder and one of the items listed below in the “we recommend these additional items” was Wow Clear Hologram Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I was immediately intrigued. So, I bought it. The sentiment in this card was stamped with  versafine Onxy ink and embossed with the hologram powder. Check this out:

Isn’t that gorgeous! It looks really good with clear ink as well. I’m picturing fairy wings. Or butterflies, or a dragon fly! I had to share this with you guys!!!

That’s all I have for you tonight. Have a good night and a good weekend! I haven’t used the Hero Arts Nesting dies yet, but I promise a tutorial when I do. I have an acetate card in mind, but it will be similar to the Clearly Besotted new baby card I just made.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I’m using this card for the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge!
